Simple but true, and not practiced nearly enough. The clinch is one of the best ways to neutralize a puncher. The hardest part is the entry, but once you close the distance and tie them up, you can control them.

Of course it depends on the ruleset. In full Muay Thai, you can stay in the clinch and really work. Just like in MMA where a strong wrestler decides whether the fight stays standing or goes to the ground, in Muay Thai a strong clincher decides whether the fight is fought on the outside or in tight.
